Ricky comes from Polokwane. He studied the saxophone at UCT and Fuba and has since worked with some of South Africa’s top musicians including Hugh Masekela, Rene Mclean, Sibongile Khumalo, Sello Galane and the Phambili Marimba Band. He has also toured internationally with various musicians to Amsterdam, Italy and Venezuela. In 2002 he won the Old Mutual Jazz Competition.
